  • CAKOBAU'S CLUB. The unconditional cession of Fiji was made by the Chiefs of Fiji on October 10, 1874. After the Deed of Cession was signed, Cakobau (pronounced Thakombau), principal chief of Fiji and generally referred to as the King of Fiji, asked that his
